Maybe you're a huge fan of the Nero Wolfe TV show on A&E. Or maybe you're just a big Timothy Hutton fan and wouldn't mind watching him read the phone book on TV just to stare into his baby blues. Either way, you're gonna get a lot less of both if you don't pull up your socks and fight A&E's decision to cancel the wonderful weekly show.
Remember, Nero Wolfe is very much Tim's baby (except for his young son that is...). Not only is he a star of the show, but he's also a producer and director, and his wife did some illustrations for the show.
So get out the pen and paper, and get started. Here are some tips from the good people at the Nero Wolfe A&E messageboard, and Pfui Pfighters!, who are working to save the show:

Other resources
We're not just sending letters. People have created postcards, stickers and fliers with slogans and logos available for download.
You can find them at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pfight/files.
In there we have folders with Address lists, letterhead, stickers and fax cover sheets to download, sample letters and other things that might help. We also have files related to the show itself: FAQs about the music, a list of texts - hours of fun.
If you want to really get down into the details of Just Say Pfui! join us at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Pfight/, home of the Pfui Pfighters!

And remember -- talk the show up to everyone you know and in any place you think fans might be found - or cultivated. The most effective thing fans can do in support of keeping a favorite show on a network is something that impacts ratings--Word of Mouth. Get the word out to newsgroups, online mailing lists, write letters to the editor of local papers, weeklies, entertainment rags, TV Guide, etc...If ratings for repeats go up and continue to outperform their vast array of biography re-treads, the industry is gonna notice - believe me!
Tips for Writing
Writing to a new network or a media outlet like TV critics, reporters, TV Guide E!Online?
Tell them who you are, why this show is one of the best on TV, what makes it worthy of their attention, why you're going to miss it, etc. Why an audience that demands quality is an audience that deserves to be heard!
DON'T be angry or antagonistic.
Thank them for giving you two terrific season, express sincere, emphatic regret (politely) that they couldn't find a way to do a third and then ask for those videos, those repeats and that music.
Many thanks to Deb, a Proud Pfui Pfighter, who wrote this text and supplied the great links and addresses, as well as Lovin'Babe. To find the full text, click here.
