In 1998, Colin enjoyed a very successful Fifteen-a-side season in which he won five caps, scoring two tries against Hong Kong and one against Uruguay in the World Cup Qualifiers in Argentina. A graduate of the CCSD program, he was a member of the Commonwealth Games Sevens team where Canada finished fifth.

In the 1999 - 2000 World Sevens series, Colin played in ten Tournaments, including winning the Plate in NZ, and scored 8 tries for 40 points). Colin was in the Cup winning team at the Chile RWC qualifying tournament, where he scored 5 tries.

In the 2000-2001 WSS, Colin played in the Durban and Dubai Tournaments, scoring 1 try for five points.
