Jesse first played for the Canada sevens squad in the 1998 Dubai sevens, and returned again in the 1999 Stellenbosch, South African Sevens. He played a season of Rugby in Brisbane Australia in 1998, and was a member of the 1999 Crimson Tide Team to win the Canadian Super league .

Jesse played in eight of the WSS 1999-2000 Tournaments, including the team that won the Plate competition in New Zealand. He scored 2 tries and a conversion for 12 points in this season. He played in the Rugby World Cup of Sevens in Argentina in January 2001, and scored two tries.

In the 2000-2001 IRB World Sevens Series, he has played in the Durban, Dubai and NZ tournaments and has scored seven tries for 35 points.
