First capped as a replacement against England in 1993, he went on to play against Australia and in the Cardiff win over Wales. A member of the World Cup squad to South Africa, he scored tries in the '96 Pac Rim tournament against the USA, Japan, and Hong Kong. Acted as pack-leader in Pan Am in Sept. 1996. Canada's first choice flanker in 1997, he played in all Pac Rim matches and against Wales and Ireland.
