A World Cup choice in 1987, and a try scorer against Ireland in Dunedin, missed the 1991 World Cup for business reasons but played against Romania and South Africa in the 1995 World Cup. First choice hooker in all Canada's tests in 1996 scoring a try against Japan in Tokyo. Played both US matches of Pac Rim and against Wales and Ireland in '97. He scored a second try against Ireland at Lansdowne Road in November 1997 a decade after scoring his first in Dunedin.
