PUPPIES HAVE ARRIVED
Can., Am., P.R., S.A., Int'l Ch.
When I was a little girl, an aunt sent me a fairy story book from England. It was full of Hans Christian Andersen tales. One of them was named 'The Tinder Box' and to make a long story short, a soldier could strike a box and a giant dog would appear. I always wanted a dog, who like the soldier's, would save me if I ever needed him. I wanted that fairy tale loyalty, that fairy tale size and also that fairy tale patience. I found, years later, that the Mastiff looked eerily like dog in the illustration of my childhood. I knew that this breed was mine! I read the Breed Standard, memorised it and got my first Mastiff in 1975. I learned about a whole group called Molossers! I haven't looked back except reminisce. I don't breed often , but when I do it is to the standard or better .
