Ryan Mitchell is the Titanium Lightspeed Ranger. He got his morpher by breaking into the Aqua Base and stealing the morpher from his father, Captain Mitchell. When Ryan was younger, about age 6, his father and sister thought he was lost in a car crash. All the anger he has built up towards his father and sister were due to the lies Diabolico fed him as he was growing up. Finally Captain Mitchell and Dana were able to convince him of the truth and Ryan returned to the good side.
Dana's older brother Ryan went through a lot of hard times, from hating his father and sister to not knowing who he truly was and finally to knowing he belonged on the good side. He went on a self-discovery trip, that was incredibly short, to discover who he was. He returned just in time to help the other rangers defeat three of Diabolico's strongest monsters. As a parting gift for leaving his services, Diabolico placed a cobra tattoo with a curse onto Ryan. Each time Ryan morphs, the cobra would move up until finally it reaches his neck and destroys him. In a finall confrontation with an ancient cobra in the demon's tomb, Ryan was able to lift the curse from himself. He returned in time also to help the other ranger destroy Diabolico.
When season 2 starts, Impus is reborn into Olympius and Queen Bansheera is brought back. Ryan leaves to discover how to stop the demonic forces of evil from rising. His little trip is a total waste of time as he finds the Sorcerer of the Sands who is unable to do anything as the newly revived Diabolico destroys him. When Ryan returns to Mariner Bay, he is captured by Queen Bansheera. Carter comes to his rescue and when they return to the city, they are too late to stop Jinxer from placing the last stone in place. But in the end, Queen Bansheera is destroyed and all is once again semi-peaceful.
At the end of Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Ryan and the other rangers are able to keep their morphers and continue to help rebuild the city and protect the citizens from natural causes, like fire.
Ryan Mitchell is played by Rhett Fisher. Rhett was born on March 22, 1980. He resides in California and enjoys activities such as snowboarding and scuba diving. He owes his martial arts on the show to the 8 years he spent studying. His favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Rhett says he enjoys working on the show and has a lot of fun. He's had his share of accidents but hey, how can you work on a show like Power Rangers and not get hurt once in a while?
Besides starring in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Rhett has appeared in commercials for the Gap, Lambourghini, and Dunlop Tires. He's also been in a few made-for-TV movies. I hope we area able to see him in one in the near future!
