Materials

#7 steel crochet hook or 1.5mm
Small amount of cotton crochet yarn (I used coats and clark)
1 small snap

Gauge:

Top-
Ch 27
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and across, ch1 turn.(26)
Row 2: Sc in each st across, ch1 turn(26).
Row 3: Sc in first 5 sts, ch 8, skip 3, sc in next 10 sts, ch 8, skip 3, sc in last 5 sts, ch1, turn.(36)
Row 4: Sc in all sts and chains across, end off.(36)

Skirt-
Holding dress top bottom side up, reattacth yarn to right corner, ch3.
Row 1: In first st *work shell (dc2, ch3, dc2), 1 dc in next st*, rep from* across, ch3 turn.
Row 2: Dc in first st, *work shell in ch3 space, sk 2 sts, dc in next st*, rep from* across, ch3 turn.
Row 3-6: Rep row 2, at end of row 6 do not ch3, instead end off leaving tail long enough for sewing.

Finishing off: Using tail sew up back of skirt to top of row 2. Weave in all strings and sew snap on back of bodice, a row of sc might be needed to help it to close properly.
