My name is Angela and I am a huge fan of The Young Riders. I have loved the show
since it first came on. My favorite character is Lou. She was my role model! Lou was brave,
strong, and gutsy. She wasn’t afraid to face dangerous obstacles. That’s something I have
always admired about her character.
When the show was on, I used to write to the riders all the time. I received
autographs from Gregg, Travis, and a very personal one from Anthony. I treasure these items
along with the other material I have on The Young Riders. I collected all the articles I could find
on the crew. I still do!
This show was very touching and so is the fan fiction! The websites dedicated to the
show are wonderful! To all the folks running those delightful pages, Good Job!!!!
I was motivated to write my first story by all the great stories I have read about The
Young Riders. I haven’t read one I didn’t like! I have written three stories so far. Love’s
Engagement, Valentine Surprises, and For My Love. Although I haven’t got a lot of feed
back on these stories, I still enjoying writing. I would like to thank those who have though
dropped me a note. Thanks Kirsten, Joanna, Kathleen, Mette, and Madison. I’m glad you liked
them.
Besides writing, I am also very interested in horses. I love galloping through the
pastures! (By the way, I live in Iowa). I have also participated in 4-H horse shows. The county
shows are a lot of fun! I have always placed in at least three events I was entered in. Now that
I’m out of high school, I don’t show anymore. However, I do coach my younger sister since she
is still in the showing scene.
I also love to draw horses! I’m not too bad at it! I have a scrap book with all my
drawings in it. Sometimes I look at it and laugh because a horse’s legs are too long or
something. They’re really cute!
Another hobby of mine is singing. I love to sing, which is why I signed up for chorus
when I was in high school. I’m twenty now and attending college. I always sing along with the
radio. Luckily I have broad music taste. I like anything from alternate to country to rock. My
favorite singer is Sheryl Crow. I’m always singing along to her songs.
The American Civil War interests me. Native American legends also capture my
attention, along with America’s wild west days. I think 1840-1890 is the most intriguing time
period.
I’m left handed! My uncle seems to think that should make me better at sports (don’t ask
me why! I’m a clutz!). I’m also a runt. My friends call me Mig (for Midget). I’m barely five
foot, but that doesn’t bother me. Well almost never. Sometimes when I can’t reach something
high on a store’s shelf, I’m pretty annoyed. I have brownish-blonde hair and my eye color is
debatable! Some people say green while others say blue! Go figure! That’s a quick over view
of my life. Ride safe everyone!
