I first saw an episode of TYR when I was... 7 or 8, and by saying that
it's clear I'm one of the youngest fans out there. As far as I know, I
AM the youngest, actually, and if anyone is born later than 1982, let me
know!
Though I'm from Sweden, I have always believed I was born to be
bilingual, and I started to learn English when I was 6. Since then, my
burning excitement to learn more has grown stronger, and today I am
working hard to take an English exam THREE years ahead of my own grade!
The language in itself isn't very hard to me, as I both think and dream
in English. (Of course, no one believes me!) If I sing a song, I have to
think twice to know if I'm singing in Swedish or English, since I use
both languages every day. I don't speak as much English as I want to,
but I write a lot instsead. I guess I've always been good at writing,
and I started with longer stories and even shorter novels when I was 10.
When I got the Internet at home and found The Young Riders Express
Station page, I stopped writing in Swedish and started to both read and
write TYR fan fiction! Since then, I have only written one smaller piece
in Swedish, and then only because my teacher begged on her knees. I've
also stopped reading Swedish books, further adding to her dismay!
My father is very good with computers, so he taught me how to create a
homepage. I could only think of two subjects for it - TYR and Gregg
Rainwater! It took awhile, but soon I realized there wasn't enough info
about my favourite actor to keep a page current, so I instead created a
page devoted to his character on TYR, Buck Cross. There seemed to be so
many fans searching for a such page, but no one had one to offer - it
was just all in my hands! So far, that page has grown both bigger and
better than my TYR page, which could be a sign... Maybe I should let The
Rock Creek Way Station return to history? No, I don't have any such
plans just yet, but unless things change for the better soon, maybe...
In Sweden the show was sent on very odd hours, and I grew up thinking I
was the only one who ever saw it. Until I came across Nesiri's page, I
thought the show had only been aired in the US and Australia, and that I
had been dreaming I'd seen it! But now I know it wasn't so, and lately
there's been a lot of Scandinavians looking at my page. But most of my
e-mail correspondents are from America, though.
Okay, name rambling time: Krazy Kirst - You know I love you and your
page, keep it up! L-L-Lyn - Thanks for everything, you are such a

great! Suzy - Yep, you're a jackass! Nesciri - Thanks for all those sane
comments in this crazy TYR world! Sky - I believe I can fly... Kathleen

Promised Land! Joanna - Your page is really, really looking great, don't
fall behind now! Kathy Savige - I'm so glad all worked out with your
page, and if you are just patient with me I might write you a story one
day! Wendy - I know you haven't done much to your page lately, but I
promise you will have work to do in your fan fiction section shortly!
Cathy - I lost your e-mail awhile ago, but I haven't forgotten about
you! Kathi - There ain't words to explain how excited I am about your
coming story! Michiko Ohno of The Gregg Rainwater Web Page - Thanks
girl, you always have some advice when it's needed! Lisa, I love your fan fiction. Thank you so much! And last, but not at
all least, Mr. Mark Tapio Kines of "Foreign Correspondents" - Thanks for
all those interesting chats about you movie(s) and the day I can afford
it, I WILL send you some money! (Yeah right, I'd buy myself a ticket to
Bahamas, and tell you to write when I get back, but I don't think that's
what you wanna hear!)
