Favorite character you've created? Stacy!! She's truly my inspiration and hero. If she really existed, I know we could be the best of friends.

Well, for those of you that don’t know, my name is Kirsten, commonly known as Kirst;) (and I won’t go into much detail because I’ve already written a short boring part on myself, and the other writers on this page are much more interesting anyway...I assure you!). Basically I am just a student plowing through the wonderful world of education, while working two jobs at the same time...so we’ll skip from that stuff to why I started writing!

“Fan Fiction?? Fan Fiction??” I asked when the subject was first brought to my attention, “You want me to write a piece of fan fiction?” Yeah, believe it or not that is how it all began for me! I was quite doubtful that I would ever be able to write a story based on the Young Riders (the best show that exists), especially when almost all of my experience had been in scripts (for a drama group) and poetry for a few different sources. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I, me, and myself, would actually take on stories which are published on the web...yikes! But now that I’ve done it, I honestly wouldn’t change it for anything! Of course I owe lots and lots of thanks to the wonderful English teachers that I’ve had, who have constantly encouraged me in my writing, and have (a few years later) badgered me to get something published. :)

I guess what really drew me to the whole idea of writing Young Riders fan fiction was the very basic fact that I adore every character (not to mention the plot and setting!) Each one is so unique and it is a joy to write about them and explore deeper into their personalities...while keeping it true to the character at the same time! But the best part is that I have fellow fans out there who challenge me to stick to the “nitty-gritty” and not go against the truth of history, or how the characters behave. :) Not to mention the fact that I love working with the other wonderful writers out there to create something that provides entertainment for everyone.

But above all else, I want to thank all of you who have written me and sent me encouraging notes! I would have (and still would!) give up if it weren’t for all of the incredible support that you have all shown. Here’s to me being able to come up with more ideas and keep that writer’s block away! Ahhhhhhhh! :)

Kirsten would like to thank her faithful fan supporters:

Tanya, thanks always being there, and for giving me the drive to step out of my “Kid/Lou comfort zone”, one of these days Jimmy’s gunna sweep Michelle off her feet! ;). Joanna, for always being my fan-fiction, writing buddy. Watch out, cuz one of these days Buck’s going to murder you with a carrot, or a strawberry! LOL!) Danni, thanks for all the laughs and support with my writing...things can only get better, right? :) Broedy, You’re every writer’s inspiration!! Thank you! Helen, What would I do without my cheering squad? :) Gizmo, So, when am I going to write that Buck story?? No telling! Probably when I finish these never-ending ones that I seem to tangle myself in. ;) Susan, You've just spoiled me to death, and are always ready to give me a laugh...I owe you a lot!:) Madison, Here's to keeping those cursed "blocks" away...think we'll make it? Suzy, Wow, the love of TYR spreads across the oceans, eh? Thanks for your encouragement! Nesciri, If you hadn’t written me in the first place, I’d probably still be on chapter two...thanks for support! Kate, Angela, Kathleen, Aimee, Kristin, Melissa, Lyn (a million thanks for the goodies you've sent me!), Sky, and Allison, thank you for everything...but above all else for your frienship and fun writing discussions! I know that there are so many of you out there that help me out...you know who you are, so thank you!

And all of you who write me faithfully, your kindess is so appreciated!!!

I'd love to hear from you sometime! E-mail :)
