Nora, author of Courage of the West

Hi. My name is Nora and my story is "Courage of the West" over on "Lady for an Era". I actually wrote that story a couple of years ago- before I knew web sites like these even existed! I was in seminary studying to become an ordained minister at the time, so that is probably why there are some religious references:) Not sure where I got the inspiration to write, but I began this story right after someone I was dating became engaged to another woman. Yes, these things go on at seminaries as well as "Melrose Place".

Enough about my past, on to my present, which is much more interesting. I was married on May 1st 1999 to my wonderful husband, Chris. So right now the main focus of my life is putting our house in order and learning how to be a wife and cooking things for dinner besides speghetti! I work as an associate pastor, but will be getting my own church this summer. I will be ordained a United Methodist pastor. Pretty exciting, and I'm waiting to hear where my new church will be.

Here's a little background info, too: I grew up in Berkeley,CA, then moved to Stockton when I was in high school. Loved the Bay Area so much I went to school at San Francisco State University, where I majored in U.S. History. Then on to Pacific School of Religion, in Berkeley. Now I'm back near Stockton, so sometimes it seems my life is going in circles! I love to sing, play guitar, read, write, bake, garden and go to all of the 150th anniversary celebrations of California's statehood. Anything western, and I am there! I even have a costume and sunbonnet I wear to these events which embarsses my husband to no end!

Please e-mail me; I'd love to hear from fellow writers, and exchange ideas. Also, if anyone needs any wedding advice...:)

Nora would love to hear from you! E-mail:)
