Hello. My name's Sky, although here in my small town in central Pennsylvania I am more widely known as Jackie, or Wacko Jacko (which kind of says something about my personality, I suppose! :~) ) There's really nothing much to say about myself. I'm headed off to college in August, which is kind of exciting. I have no idea what I'm going to major in- hopefully something that will make me a productive US citizen. I collect Pez dispensers- I have well over a hundred- and funny top ten lists. And I LOVE movies. I have the Star Wars Trilogy practically memorized, and will be working on the prequels as soon as they come out! And I like basically any show or movie with a western theme- that's such an exciting period of time. The Young Riders is the show that got me started on my whole gun-slinging cowboy fetish.

I can't really say what inspires me to write my stories. I just get these ideas that pop into my head for a story and I write them down. Most of the time my stories pretty much write themselves, however I do experience writer's block like everyone else! When I was younger I'd make up my own episodes and 'act' them out, which was pretty hard since none of my friends shared my enthusiasm. When I tried to fall asleep at night I'd pretend I was in the bunkhouse listening to Jimmy snoring. Sometimes my brother would catch me talking to myself and I wouldn't hear the end of it for days! That's kind of embarrassing, but I'm sure many of you have done similar things? (I'm hoping I'm not the only who sometimes doesn't play with a full deck of cards!)

My favorite character that I've created is Sky Hawks. I'm kind of biased because I haven't created many characters so far in the Young Rider world, but Sky is how I'd want myself to be if I got to be a character in the show.

I'd like to thank Gizmo for being such a good friend and encourager. You're the best! And of course Kirsten for posting my story, which I will eventually finish. I'd never had anything of mine on the Internet before I met you! I can't forget all the other people that have e-mailed me, nagging me to write more chapters! If it weren't for you all, I wouldn't have the motivation to keep writing!
