I don't know if the mirror thing works or not,
because I've been looking in the mirror for years
telling myself, "Chris, you're a sexual dynamo. You
have a natural animal magnetism that is absolutely
irresistible." It's been largely proven unsuccessful,
but maybe it's because I've been using the power of the
mirror for selfish personal gain as opposed to personal
development. So I've been looking in the mirror saying
"Pretty hammers. Pretty, pretty hammers." I've woken
up the last three mornings with my arm cocked above
my head with a frisbee in my hand, so it seems to be
working.
Additionally, the warm-up aspect is also important
Saturday and Sunday mornings. Even if we don't have
everybody there (various members may be out going the
extra mile facilitating the tourney) abandon the shitty
"Why warm up now? No one's even here yet." Screw that.
We'll be there. We'll be ready. We'll run, we'll jump,
stretch, throw, do situps, and talk trash about all the
weak teams we will demolish that day. We will come
together further as a team, and that will deliver us to
the finals on Sunday.
Next, we all need to make an effort to make
Chuck's job of piloting this team easier. Respect his
direction with regard to warm-ups, drills, preparation,
subs, etc. You may, however, feel free to disregard his
advice on when to throw the 40 yard no-look gak. When
we are more easily managed, Chuck is happier. Chuck
then plays better and Chuck is less likely to pop your
car tires at the end of the day. He has invested
immense time and effort into the cause of S&B, so we
need to help it pay dividends, for him and for us.
And it will. This is the weekend when Bones will rise
to their rightful position atop the WORLD.....................
