Well, guess what, the major decsions have been made! A great thing about all this forthought is that it makes it easy later. Now that you have your great new pet, it should be a breeze as long as your prepared. So take a break, and enjoy your new friend. Make sure to follow through, and give him/her all there shots, and, if you feel its fair, be responsible and spay/nueter them. These actions may save a headache later.
Always remember though, that your new pet is a friend, not a slave. They may not always do things your way (such as make a mess on the rug), but they don't think of it as a problem. It is only a problem to us. So be fair, but also teach them to be able to live around your home. And have fun!
