The hard rock band (tocata) from Sydney's western suburbs formed in '97 under the name of Porndrug with Andrew (vox), Daryl (guitars, backing vox), Nathan (bass), James (guitars) and Wesley (drums). They recorded and released their self titled EP in '99.

After a long break between '00 and '01, (tocata) resurfaced with new bassist (Frosti), a new name and new, diverse sound.

Playing shows in Sydney, Blue Mountains, Newcastle and Canberra has served to confirm the strong reputation that (tocata) developed for themselves, as a very tight band with powerful stage presence.

March saw the release of 'tulpas', the first EP, showcasing their new sound.

(tocata) spins their audience into a frenzy with an intense and personal live show of

power and beauty
