1ST COMMANDO REGIMENT PLAQUE
General Information
The 1st Commando Regiment plaque was commissioned in July 2003. It is available for general sale. Orders will be taken however from time to time this item may be in stock. We will advise if stock is available.
The Technical Details
Each plaque is hand made without the use of any powered machinery with up to three craftsmen being involved in the manufacturing process. It is carved from a single piece of timber known by its common species name of ‘walnut’. The plaque measures approximately 20 cms x 27 cms with a weight of approximately 600 grams.
The plaque is able to be personalised if required with the addition of numerous banners denoting service etc. Any inscription can be applied as long as the inscription is proportional to the width and depth of the plaque. Please note however that the plaque may increase in size to accommodate personal inscriptions and accordingly the price will rise. Once the plaque has been completed it is then finished off with an application of a wood polish, and this is applied by hand.
