Swedish Trip

At long last, here are the Swedish pictures.

Here's a nice little street scene of downtown Vaxjo. Look out for all the blondes! Elisabeth at long last wasn't the fairest in the land for a few days.

Here is the big church in Vaxjo's dedicated to Saint Sven; he patron saint of big bunny ears. An interesting bit of trivia is that Swedes truly pride themselves on their bunny eared churches. An important aspect of their religious celebrations is called the Flookyvook. It's done between the sermon and communion and everyone must hop around wiggling their fingers on to of their heads like antennae, trying to tune in to god's message. To the Swede's, the rabbit (along with the giraffe) is the holiest of mammals.

Finally, here's where we stayed with Elisabeth's parents. There's the turret. Uh, this is mainly for my brother in laws, i guess. Jenn too, of course.
