Hamama is a city in Palestine which is located 2 Km from the Mediterranean , 3 Km North of Majdel and 31 Km North East from Gaza. And Hamam is the name of the most Known bird "Pigeon". It was built on a Greek village which was called "Balia" which means pigeon.

Hamama was famous about its fruitful trees of citrus, almonds, fig, sycamoie and olives . Its population in 1945 was 5010 .

One of its most famous families : Al-Mogdadya who are traced back to the ancestry of Al Mogdad Ibn AlAswad AlHadrame.

And it was said that Hamama's People were Omer Ibn Al Khattab grandsons."Abu Sager" was a famous guy in the 19th century and he was a powerful man in Majdel and Hamama.He prevented the attack of Bado on his villages.

Most of its people used to work in agriculture and fishing.

It was destroyed by the enemy and its people were displaced and "Beet Azra" and "Natsaneem" settlements were built on it.
