Chapter 104

sorry so short

Carter tied her scarf around her neck and pulled her knees up to her chest. She was sitting on a swing outside of the ski lodge with Zac. She had no idea where everybody else was, but she really didn t care. All that mattered to her was that she was sitting on a swing with her boyfriend. He had his arm around her and he was staring off into space. "What are you thinking about?" She asked, leaning against him.

"Nothing. I'm just really happy." He smiled down at her with a smile that could melt all the snow on the hill.

"I am too." She looked up and frowned at a tree filled with black crows. "Aren't they supposed to be very far south by now?"

"Supposedly. But they just stayed here to scare the crap out of you and Beth."

"I think I'm more afraid of them than she is. She seems cool though."

"Yeah I m glad Isaac found her. You guys are so much alike."

Carter looked at him suddenly. "Me and Ike?"

"You and Beth. You're both girly girls but you re also both though enough to take care of yourselves. I sit here and watch you and half the time I don't know what to do with you cause you re so unique. Then there's Beth. The two of you are so different from all the other girls I know."

"Yeah we rock." She laughed. "Did you know that her name is just Beth. No Bethany... no nothing. Just Beth."

"That's cool. I wish my name was just Zac."

Carter laughed.

Zac looked at her, startled. "Why are you laughing at me."

"I just remembered a scene from Will and Grace."

Zac laughed. "JUST JACK!"***

Carter smiled and put her head on his shoulder. "I love fooling around with you."

"Heh..." He grinned.

"Shut up. You know what I meant." Carter laughed but stopped suddenly when a snowball hit her in the back of the head. "WATCH IT!" She yelled as she turned around to find the culprit.

"Sorry. Dude." He was fairly tall and wore a coat with a hood, and goggles over his eyes. She didn't know why, but he looked vaguely familiar. "I wasn't aiming for you."

"That's ok..."

He gave her a strange look and tilted his head to the side.

"Are you checking out my girlfriend?" Zac asked, glaring at him.

"No. She just looks familiar..." He took his yellow goggles off and undid his scarf. "You."

"YOU!" Carter glared, recognizing the rude boy, Tom, from the bowling alley.

"What are you doing here?"

"What are YOU doing here?"

"I live here. What's your excuse."

"Vacation with friends. You live here? Why were you at a bowling alley in Tulsa then?"

"Vacationing with friends. So... do you still think I'm hot?" He asked grinning at Carter.

"Hello! Boyfriend... standing right here!" Zac growled at him. "Bigger than you, could kick your ass in a second."

Tom put his hands up. "Alright alright. I'll leave. Geez. I didn't risk my life driving to ski smallhill on 3 inches of ice just to argue with a hot bitch and her ugly boyfriend."

"DON'T CALL ME UGLY!" Zac yelled, picking up a handfull of snow and throwing it into Tom's face.

"DON'T CALL ME HOT!"

"Wow. You guys are really funny." Tom laughed lightly and walked away.

Carter rolled her eyes and sat back down on the swing. "Dude I really can't stand him."

"Hey at least you know he doesn't live within 1000 miles of you."

"Bonus." Carter smiled and waited for Zac to sit next to her before she cuddled up to him again.

*** If you ve never seen Will and Grace, I suggest you do. It s on Thursday nights at 9:00. I suggest taping Will and Grace on the vcr in your room while taping Charmed in the living room. Drives the parents crazy but who cares.
