This Chapter was written by Katie and co-written/edited by me (Kristin). All of the ideas are Katie's and 95 percent of the writing is hers. The only thing that is mine is a few tidbits here and there and the idea of the song with Taylor and Meli in the middle. Hope you like it!!!
It had been a few days since the Porter's and the Hanon's returned from Williamsport. Tay and Melissa were spending more time together, and Ike was spending more time on the computer, talking to Beth. Carter had been making fun of him for becoming a computer Hermit.
Since it was almost January, Zac and Carter took it upon themselves to plan the ultimate New Year's Eve party. They were in Zac's bedroom, Zac sitting up against his head board with Carter laying with her head in his lap. "So if we invite Ike, Tay, Meli, Trey, Tristan, and maybe Beth, that should be good." Carter said.
"Yeah sounds good to me." Zac agreed. "Except for one thing."
"What's that?"
"Nobody has heard from Trey and Tristan for like.. a year. What made you think of them?"
"I dunno. They were just pretty cool. For druggies." She shrugged and smiled. "So should we have a theme or like a 'wear-whatever-you-want' type thing?" She asked.
"A theme would be sweet, but like what would it be?" Zac questioned and thought for a moment. "I know.....maybe Egyptians? Or people from Charmed?"
Carter's eyes lit up. "I'M PIPER! And you can be Leo!And... and... There's no retarded losers on Charmed, so Taylor is left out in the dark. And I don't care what anybody says, if Meli says she's Piper I'll kick her ass."
"Well we can get back to that later. We don't want it to turn out to be a bloodbath over who's Piper. But I have something else in mind." Zac said with a sly smile.
"Oh really. And what would that be?" Carter asked, returning his smile.
"Well it goes something like this." Zac said before slowly closing his eyes and kissing Carter.
As they broke apart, Carter said, Screw the party. I like that idea better."
Taylor and Melissa were sitting out in the living room of the Hanson house. "That trip was pretty sweet." Mel said. "Well besides the fact you broke your arm and two ribs, otherwise, I'd say it was fun." she continued.
"Yeah, even though it happened, I'm sort of glad it did." Tay said.
"Why?" she questioned.
"Well... I got to spend most of the weekend with you." He blushed and fought back grinning.
"Yeah that part was pretty fun. I'm glad we're such good friends." Meli smiled and pointed to the t.v. "Oooh I love this song! The video is pretty gay, but the song is great."
Taylor stared blankly ahead as he listened to the music.

"Yeah. It's a good song." He nodded blankly and sighed.
Zac and Carter decided that they had done enough work for the day and they wanted to do something else. "LaserQuest?" Zac suggested.
"Naa. We did that last time and I got attacked by some huge woman in silver boots. How about ice skating?" She asked.
"You and me both know you can't skate." Zac reminded her.
"Yeah so. Who cares, besides if I fall, you're coming down with me." she said.
"Well if you can get Ike to take us." Zac said.
"Zac! You know me well enough. I'll just um....flirt with him." Carter said with a sly smile. "I'll be right back." she said before getting up.
Carter kissed Zac's forehead and then walked in to Tay's room and up the stairs to Ike's room. "Hey Ike." Carter said from outside.
"Yeah hold on." the voice from inside said. The door opened. "Oh hey Carter. What do you want?" he asked.
"Well ya know, I haven't exactly been nice to you lately." Carter said with a smile. "And I was wondering if maybe me and you could get together tonight for a game." She smiled again.
"Oh sure. Your house say....10:30?" Ike said.
"Works for me. But there's a catch, you have to bring me and Zac to the skating rink right now." Carter told him.
"Sure." Ike said.
Carter thanked him and then ran downstairs. "Get ready to go Zac." She said as she entered his room.
"How'd you get him to do it?" he asked.
"Let's just say he didn't comprehend the word." Carter said with a smile.
"What?" Zac asked.
"Well I told him we'd get together for a 'game' tonight. However, he thinks a makeout session, but um no. I'm gonna have Life and Pictionary set up to play." (Katie, you are a GENIUS!) Carter said with a laugh.
When Carter and Zac were ready, they walked downstairs and got into Ike's car.
