Chapter 112

Zac walked into his bedroom and kicked off his shoes, singing quietly to himself. "I like pie with hair and cheese. Ice cream doodles on my knees." *thump* He plopped down onto his bed and laid back staring at the ceiling. "My brother is a flaming wad. He thinks that he's freakin God." *thump* He turned and stared at his closet door. "Noises are coming from the walls. Taylor can lick my giant..." *thump*

He slowly stood up and walked over to the closet. Sitting down next to it, he knocked quietly on the door. From the other side, he heard one knock. "Hello, strange being in my closet, identify yourself."

"Taylor is a bitch."

"Car?" He leaned against the door almost as if hugging it. "Why are you in my closet?"

"TAYLOR IS A BITCH!"

"Yes, I know. Everybody knows. WHY ARE YOU IN MY CLOSET?!"

"It's his genius prank. He couldn't get creative so he tricked me into getting in your closet and then he slammed me in here. MELI WAS IN ON IT TOO!"

Zac tried not to laugh. "How long have you been in there?"

"I don't know. I've been slipping in and out of consciousness. What time is it?"

"3:00."

"That... can't be right." Carter shook her head. "He locked me in here at 4:00... Thursday."

Zac's eyes widened. "YOU'VE BEEN IN THERE FOR 2 DAYS?!"

Carter wimpered. "Zaaaaac, let me out dude."

"Why didn't you yell for help?!"

"I must have been passed out everytime you were in the room! GET ME OUT!"

"Alright hang on, I'll go get Ike."

Zac left the room and within minutes Carter heard somebody come back. "Carter?" It definitely wasn't Zac. "Zac said you're stuck in the closet."

"Tanis?"

"Yeah." Tanis laughed and grabbed the handle. "I came over to see what everyone was up to and Zac ran by me with a meat mallot in his hand. I figured you might need some help."

Carter wimpered again. "This closet smells like old cheese."

"Alright so Zac said something about the magical magical woman and how you're the only one that can get the closet open. So what do I do?"

Carter stood up and back against the wall of the closet. "Ok here's what you do. Stand on one leg..."

"Ok this is gonna get weird."

"No seriously, stand on one leg, swing it around and slam it against the door. Then right afterwards, punch the wall, and then pull the doornob as hard as you can."

"Ok..." Tanis backed up a few feet and took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing." She stood up straight, lifted one leg and slammed it against the door. Then she threw her fist into the wall. Finally, she grabbed the doornob and yanked it open. "I DID IT!"

Carter jumped up and down and grabbed Tanis, hugging her. Then, she stumbled backwards and fell, pulling Tanis with her... pulling the door with her. It slammed shut and everything went dark. "Aww fuck." Carter mumbled as she sat down on the floor.

Tanis screamed and threw herself against the door. "NOOOOOO!!!"

"Uhm. What's going on?" Carter and Tanis heard Zac's voice coming from the other side. "Tanis?" He asked, leaning against the door.

"Yeah?" She answered, sadly.

"Why are YOU in the closet?! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE OUT HERE!"

Carter sighed. "Taylor needs to die."

Zac's eyes glistened. "OOH! So does that mean I get to use the meat mallot?!"

"NO!" Isaac grabbed the heavy metal tool from him. "There will be NO more holes in the walls. I got grounded for a week last time this happened. If anything you guys are just going to have to stay in there until we get this open. Zac, go get Taylor."

"Aye aye." He lifted his hand to his forehead and saluted, then ran to find his brother, the wad.

Isaac muttered something to himself about immaturity and dropped the meat mallot onto the bed. "Ok this shouldn't be too hard. Just take the hinges off of the door."

Carter knocked. "And then kill Taylor."

"Could we please get through this without bloodshed?"

"Not a chance." She laughed.

Isaac rolled his eyes as Zac pulled Taylor into the room. Taylor had a huge grin on his face. Zac smacked him a few times.

"Ok get out of my way. I'll open the door." Taylor sighed as he walked over.

"Wait you know how to open the door?" Carter asked from inside the closet.

"Of course. I wasn't gonna lock you in there without figuring out how to get you out."

"My hero." She rolled her eyes. "NOW OPEN THE DAMN DOOR!"

"Yeah jackass! OPEN THE DOOR!" Tanis pounded her fists as hard as she could.

"Alright alright. I dunno how the hell you got locked in there. But then again... you're a girl, and blonde. So whatever."

"SHUT UP!"

Taylor went through the process of opening the door. When it finally opened, a flash went into Zac's head. Payback time. He'd stand up for Carter. It was the perfect plan. In a split second, Zac grabbed his brother's shoulders, shoved him into the closet, and slammed the door shut behing him. "HA! TAKE THAT!"

"ZAC!" Everybody in the room screamed. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"

"Getting him back!"

Carter growled. "Zac, honey. Come here."

Zac walked over to the closet door. "What?"

"Come closer. Put your ear on the door. I have to whisper something to you."

Zac placed his face against the door and jumped back three feet when Carter slammed her fist into the other side, punching as hard as she could. "YOU DUMBASS! NOW WE'RE ALL STUCK IN HERE!"

Zac swallowed hard. "Oops. Ok so... meat mallot time?"

"NO!" Isaac growled. "You know what? You guys can just figure this out for yourselves. I'm going upstairs. You're annoying the hell out of me and I'm sick of helping you people out of closets." He stormed out of the room.

"Ok. Drama Queen." Zac sighed and sat down next to the closet. "Ok don't worry guys. I'll get you out. Just let me sit here and think."

Carter sighed. "Yeah this could be a while."

"Stop touching me!" Carter shouted, pushing Taylor's arm off of her. "If I have to be in here I'd rather do it without you touching me."

Tanis laughed. "You two seriously crack me up. So you've hated eachother forever?"

"Not exactly." Taylor shook his head. "We went out twice... for a while... it's... complicated."

"Yeah we're like friends that just can't stand eachother. I don't know how to explain it." Carter pushed him over again. "COULD YOU PLEASE SIT FURTHER AWAY?!"

Taylor glared. "Dammit, Carter. The closet is 3 feet by 6 feet. Where would you like me to sit? Does the ceiling work ok for you?"

"No because then it'd be like... Taylor on top of me and that's just not a good thing."

Tanis laughed again.

"Stuck in a closet with two chicks. Normally this owuld be a good thing." Taylor sighed and tried moving over again.

"Fuck off." Carter mumbled and flicked his shoulder.

"Ok, ok." Tanis moved over and sat down between them. "I'm just going to have to separate the two of you until Zac is finished thinking." She turned to Carter. "How long does this usually take?"

"Oh it could take days."

"Dammit."

"I'm hungry." Taylor whined.

"Dude shut the hell up until you've been in here for 2 days with nothing but some old cheese, a peanut butter sandwich which you so gracefully left for me, and a giant bottle of water. THEN you can open your stupid gay mouth and complain. Got that?" Carter glared.

"Fine... whatever."

Tanis sighed and moved over slightly. "Ok I can't get comfortable."

"Here." Taylor moved his arm from it's position where it had been jabbing her in the side, and put it around her shoulders. "Better?"

"Yeah, a little."

Carter rolled her eyes. "Great. Just great."

"Can't we just like, suggest things to Zac? Or at least knock on the door and make sure he's still alive?"

"Trust me, it's best you let him think. Eventually he'll realize that there's his emergency screw driver sitting in the middle of his room is perfect for unscrewing screws. Then he'll realize that he can take the door off of the hinges to let us out. But it's best to let him figure it out for himself. Besides, he needs ego boosts every now and then." Carter smiled. "Because not all of the Hanson brothers have the outstanding ego that Taylor does."

"Dude, just shut up. You're not going to piss me off today." Taylor grumbled.

Tanis leaned against him more, still trying to get comfortable and keep the shooting pains in her back from bothering her. She ended up almost snuggled into his arms with her head on his shoulder.

"Hey I'm just saying," Carter continued, "I don't know any other guy with the confidence that you have."

"Normally I'd take that as a compliment..."

"Yeah no other guy wins the 'penis' game every time."

"What is the penis game?" Tanis asked.

"Oh it's when Isaac and Taylor sit at a table and see who can say penis the loudest without laughing. Taylor wins everytime."

Taylor blushed.

"Yeah, we've become very aware of the fact that Taylor is quite fond of his penis."

Tanis laughed loudly and leaned forward. Taylor grumbled and became uncomfortable with the absence of Tanis's body against him. Then, she sat back and he felt better again. Guilty for feeling any feelings for Tanis, but nonetheless better.

"Ok guys." Zac's voice came from the other side of the door. "I figured it out."

"WOOHOO!" Carter jumped up.

"Ok here's what I'm gonna do. You know that screwdriver that I keep on my floor?"

Carter smiled at Tanis and Taylor.

"Ok well I'm gonna just take the door off of it's hinges and then put it back on before Mom and Dad realize that three of us were locked in a closet."

"And then all that will be hurt is our pride." Tanis sighed.

Everybody sat back while Zac fooled around with the screwdriver and the door hinges. He dropped it a few times and at one point he screamed "SON OF A BITCH! I'M BLEEDING!" But eventually the door fell forward onto the floor and light burst into the closet, blinding Carter, Tanis, and Taylor. Then, they were free.

Carter hugged Zac and kissed him lightly on the lips. "See, now this is a real hero." She joked.

"Well I guess I'd better be going home." Tanis shrugged. "I'll see you all the next time I'm in need for some serious excitement... and... physical pain." She smiled and waved to everybody, then left the room.

Carter and Zac watched as Taylor slowly left Zac's bedroom and went back to his own. "What was that all about?" Zac asked, noticing a new look in his brother's eyes.

"Trust me Zac, you don't wanna know." She shrugged and gave him another hug.
