Chapter 136

Here's the deal. The contest came and went and I only got three entries. About four of the judges decided it wasn't worth judging. And out of the three that were left, two picked this chapter. So I want to thank Megan for giving me a great chapter with a cliffhanger and room for me to write more! All I did was fix up a couple grammar and spelling things and added a little to make it longer. But Meg is the winner and here's her chapter:)

Carter sat on the floor of the Hanson's living room. It was raining out and everyone had come over because they were all bored. Zac was sitting in a chair, staring blankly at the rain. Taylor was on the couch behind Carter. Taylor noticed that every few minutes Carter looked at Zac, sighed, and then looked away. Issac was sitting in a chair with Tanis, talking and watching TV. Suddenly Carter jumped up and threw her arms into the air, trying to get everybody's attention.

"Hey, why don’t we all play truth or dare?! The storm is freaking me out and I need something to keep my mind off of it." She yelled, grinning from ear to ear. She looked around and saw Zac's eyes light up. Taylor laughed and shook his head. Issac and Tanis looked at each other and nodded in agreement. "Great, we need to call more people, we need a big group."

"Who do you want us to call, Carter?" Tay asked, grabbing her arm and pulling her down on the couch next to him. He had been hoping she would shoot the idea of playing truth or dare. He had something he had been planning since the bowling alley.

"Meli, she'll play. But I don’t know who else, you guys know more people than me." Carter laughed at that, because they had the same friends, each other.

"How about that girl from the bowling ally?" Zac asked, grinning at the memory of the pretty girl with green eyes.

"Zac, I don’t know if that’s a good idea..." Taylor said, glancing over at Carter who suddenly found something interesting on the wall.

"Why not, I got her number. She said to call her sometime and now seems like a good time." Zac glared at Taylor. Taylor sighed and shook his head.

"Zac do you even know the girls name?" Taylor laughed as Zac thought about that. "If you don’t know her name, Zac, she’s not coming over to this house."

"You mean the new girl at the alley? The girl you were flirting with, Zac?" Tanis asked, slipping off the chair arm and landing on Issac's lap. Issac grunted slightly and Tanis laughed, getting off ofhim. "Sorry about that."

"No problem. I don't use that part of my body much anyway. Issac said sounding just a bit pained.

"Yeah the girl I was flirting with." Zac said laughing at and ignoring Issac. "She’s really pretty."

"He hates blondes." Cater mumbled under her breath as she turned to see Melissa walk in. Speaking of blondes... We were just going to call you, sit down, we're playing truth or dare.”

"Um... ok, but I’m not running naked around the house this time." Melissa giggled and sat on the floor. Tanis shook her head and turned to Zac.

"Her name's Lizzie, Zac, but I don’t know if she’s the truth or dare kind of person." Tanis said, looking at Cater, hoping that the girl wouldn’t be home when Zac called her.

"Cool... I'm going to go call her. I hope she can come to play with us." Zac ran out of the room heading for the phone.

"Just great, lets bring the devil into our house." Carter mumbled, leaning into Taylor slightly.

"It’s ok Carter." Tay put his arm around her while Zac ran back into the room. Carter sat up quickly and Taylor’s arm dropped away from her.

"She can come over, she'll be here any minute." Zac jumped up and down and when the doorbell rang, he flew down the hallway, crashing into the door. A few seconds later the short blonde girl with the pretty green eyes came walking in, followed by Zac.

"Hey everyone, I'm Lizzie." She smiled sweetly and all of a sudden Carter had the sudden urge to beat her face in.

"OK," Taylor stood up feeling Carter tense up when Lizzie walked in. "Let’s get started. We're playing truth or dare, Lizzie."

"Awesome." She giggled and sat down. Zac sat next to her and Issac and Tanis slid down next to them. Carter sat on the floor in front of the couch leaning her back against it and Taylor as close to her as he could.

"Car, you want to start?" Taylor asked softly.

"Sure, why not. Issac, truth or dare?" Carter looked at him, ideas forming in her head quickly.

"Truth, mainly because I don't trust you in this game." Issac laughed as Carter grumbled something about being a wuss.

"Ok then, Issac whats up with you and Tanis? You're sitting awfully close tonight." Carter said smugly as Issac turned red.

"We’re friends. Other than that I don't think there's anything up with us." Issac, looked at Tanis, who smiled back at him. "Ok, my turn, Taylor, truth or dare?"

"Truth." Taylor, laughed as Carter smacked his arm lightly.

"Why do I play this game with a bunch of wussy babies, geez." Carter folded her arms and pouted. She glared at Isaac, then Taylor.

"Ok, Tay whats in that box under your bed?"

"Um... well... it’s um... Pictures." Tay blushed wildly.

"Pictures of what Tay?" Ike laughed.

"Carter, her mom, all of us playing together when we were little." He didn’t mention that he had pictures of when Carter was singing at Todd's dad's bar with the light dancing off her. She looked like an angel in that picture.

"Anyway, Carter truth or dare?" Tay asked, the pink in his cheeks slowly growing darker, time for his plan.

"Dare, since you are all wussies. You have to learn from the Queen." Carter stood up, cracking her neck and popping her shoulders. Zac laughed as she got ready.

"Ok, Car, I dare you to go out with me again." Tay looked up at her and she stared in shock down at him. In that instant, the room was silent. Zac glared at Taylor, but he didn’t know why he was mad. Isaac looked on in shock and Tanis just smiled.

"I... I..." Carter looked down at Taylor and ran from the room, out into the rain. The room stayed so quiet that they could hear Carter slam the door to her bedroom.
