Chapter 56... or.. .65 or something like that.

Taylor sighed and pushed the chair in to his computer desk. "Yes. Quite the answer."

Zac walked into his room and picked a pair of shorts up off of Taylor's bedroom floor. "Yes to what?"

Taylor turned around abruptly. "Why are you stealing my dirty clothes?"

Zac brought the pair of shorts up to his nose and smelled them. "They're clean."

"Ok, so why are you stealing my clean clothes?"

"Cause I haven't gotten any of my spring and summer clothes out of the attic yet, and it's really hot outside."

"So, wear something of Carter's like you usually do." Taylor chuckled.

"Her really cool black pants with the orange patches on the butt, they don't fit me anymore."

"My stuff won't fit you either."

Zac's head perked up. "Are you calling me fat? Cause Ike called me fat yesterday. And I'm not fat."

"You've gained weight."

Zac sighed. "Carter says I've gained muscle."

Taylor laughed. "Carter's in love with you, of course she says that."

Zac stared at him and dropped the pair of shorts back onto the floor.

"Chill dude, I meant like... in love with you as a friend. She's been in love with you since the day you were born."

Zac nodded and smiled. "Yes yes. I am pretty amazing aren't I?"

Taylor laughed. "And amazingly self ashured." Taylor reached into his wooden money box and pulled out a wad of 20 dollar bills.

"WHOA!" Zac's eyes widened. "Where the hell did all that come from?"

"I saved it?"

"From what? Our non-existant allowance?"

"No, I got a job."

"Dude!" Zac jumped up. "Where the heck was I when this amazing, astonishing, feat happened?!"

Taylor laughed. "Probably sleeping." He shoved the money into his pocket and walked out of the room.

"You people have to wake me up more often!" Zac shouted after him. Then he picked the shorts back up off the floor and sighed. "One of these days I'll wake up and mom will be 8 months pregnant.... again...." Zac stopped suddenly when he saw something glossy on Taylor's desk. "Dude, how the hell did he get that?"

Carter laid down on her bed and sighed. She wondered why she hadn't seen Taylor all day. She'd seen Zac. She'd seen Isaac... and he touched her boob again. But she hadn't seen Taylor at all. "Hey Zac, Is Tay home?" She asked, looking at the moniter.

Silence.

Carter smacked the moniter and screamed. "HEY ZAC! WAKE UP!"

"Dammit woman..." He mumbled, "What?"

"Is Taylor home?"

"Dude why didn't you just ask Taylor if he's home? It's a three way moniter you dumbass."

Carter laughed. "Oh yeah." She smiled. "Tay... Hey... Tay."

There was no answer, but she could swear she heard him breathing. Assuming she had pissed him off in some way, she sighed, laid her head back on her pillow, and slid her arms underneathe like she always did at night. She made a face and pulled box out from under the pillow. "What???" She looked at her moniter when she heard a slight gasp. She could tell it was Taylor. "Tay, what is this?" She asked, but there was still no answer.

She slid the lid off of the box and pushed the tissue paper aside. "Oh my god." Her mouth dropped open when she saw what was inside. There was an 8x10 glossy photo of Holly Marie Combs, signed "Carter, I never thought I'd have a fan like you. Love, Forever, Holly"

Piper pulled the picture out to look at it closer and noticed there was another piece of paper and a smaller box underneathe it. She took out the paper and read it... "Dear Holly, I'm writing to you because I have a really great friend who is a huge fan of you. Her name is Carter Porter and I've never seen anybody love a celebrity like she loves you. She schedules her entire life around Charmed, and any other movie or t.v. appearance you might be making. She has bad quality, computer printed pictures all over her walls. She writes you letters all the time, but never has the guts to send them, figuring you'll never see them.

"But the real reason I'm writing this letter is because I know it would make her so happy to have an autographed picture of you and I would do anything I can to make this girl happy. Sincerely, Jordan Taylor Hanson"

Carter blinked hard and put the letter down, reaching for the small box. She took the lid off and took a deep breath. Inside, was a 2 inch wide, black, beaded, sparkly bracelet, just like the ones Holly wears to cover her tattoos on Charmed. She remembered telling Taylor about how she looked all over the city for a bracelet like that, but couldn't find one.

Carter slid the bracelet onto her wrist and climbed out of her bed. Tiny shorts, tanktop and all, she crossed the balcony, and opened the door to Taylor's bedroom. He was standing with his hands in his pockets, staring at the moniter as if it was about to explode. He wasn't expecting Carter to walk towards him and stare into his eyes like she did. And most of all, he wasn't expected her to kiss him like she did. Her lips pressed against his and ignited in a fire that he never felt from her before. Even when they were a couple so many months ago, she never kissed him like that.

Taylor wrapped his arms around her waist as she put her head on his shoulder and whispered into his ear. "Thank you so much."

He never expected a reaction like that, and he never knew a small gift like that would change their relationship forever.
