Taylor,

I'm sorry for that one word e-mail the other day. I would explain it, but I'm not really in the mood. The other day, I had to tell Andrew about Talia, and I really wasn't planning on telling him, ever. It's just not something I like talking about even to my mom. I don't even know why I told you about her while you were in the hospital. I guess there was just something about you that screamed out, "Tell me your pathetic life story". Not that it is in anyway my life story. The whole thing only took place over one year.

I guess you're the only person I can tell this too, but I still think about her everyday. Her journal, the way it cursed all of us for trying to help her, still haunts my mind. I wanted to rip out all the pages and burn it, but I couldn't. It sits in a shoebox that hasn't even been unpacked yet.

I guess I'm going to go through my whole life wondering if anybody knows what its like to lose a loved one so suddenly. I'm sure there are people out there who have. But will I ever know them?

Andrew's brother died of Leukemia, but it's hardly the same. They knew he was going to die. They saw his condition get worse and worse. We knew Talia would probably die, but we had no idea it would happen the way it did.

Oi, I should just stop writing about all this shouldn't I? Sorry. I'm sure you have other things on your mind. Like you're new found love. *swoons*

So as a last note here, which new video do you like better? Britney's, Mandy's, or Christina's? I know how into pop music you are:)

Love always,

Beth

Taylor smiled at Beth's last comment. Obviously the better video was Christina. It focused more on her voice than her "assets" and the only person with eyes like hers was Carter. He grinned to himself how his mom totally forgot about them being grounded this morning at breakfast and slowly snuck out onto the balcony and over to Carter's house. He found her in her room, sleeping. The covers were thrown onto the floor and she was wearing a blood red tanktop a pair of tiny black shorts.

He took a few seconds to look at her and then tapped her lightly on her arm. Her eyes fluttered open slowly to see a blurry blonde image standing next to her bed. She blinked a few times, realized it was Taylor, and jumped up to hug him, practically throwing herself into his arms.

"Whoa... Now there's a hello." He laughed, hugging her back. "Good morning."

"Morning." She smiled and finally let go of him. "You better go back home though. You're gonna get in trouble."

Taylor shook his head. "I think I'm ungrounded. Parents forgot."

"As usual." Carter grabbed Taylor's arm and looked down at his watch. "Is Zac up?"

"Yeah. Last time I checked he was sitting on the couch eating soggy Cocoa Puffs. Why?"

"Oh, let's just say I arranged a 'chance' meeting with somebody who has a lil crush on him." Carter grinned.

Zac stared at the door after the doorbell rang and shoved another spoonful of soggy cereal into his mouth. "Somebody gonna get that?!" He yelled, wiping milk off of his chin. The doorbell rang again and he groaned and climbed off of the couch.

The door swung open with a gust of wind and Zac found himself face to face with a total stranger, a very pretty... total stranger. Her hair was light brown, about 2 inches past her shoulders, and she was very short, shorter than Carter. She was probably 5'0".

"Hi." She smiled. "Uhm, I have the wrong house don't I." She looked at the address beside the door. "Geez, I'm sorry." She turned around, hoping Zac would call her back.

Luckily for her, he did. "Wait, what house were you looking for?"

"Uhm..." She turned a little red. "Actually I think I might be on the wrong street entirely."

"Well, I could get you a phonebook."

She smiled. "Thanks."

Zac invited her inside and disappeared into the kitchen. He returned with a big yellow phonebook. "What's your name?" He asked in a moment of spontaneity.

"Justine."

"I'm Zac."

She smiled and nodded as she paged through the phonebook. "Oh... here it is... wait, what's your address?"

"1006 Louisa..."

"Damn, I am on the right street. I'm trying to get to 1005. That's..."

"Across the street. You know Nique?"

Justine shook her head. "Not very well. Jade invited me over and gave me directions. I must have just gotten them mixed up."

"Wait if you know Jade, then you probably know Carter and Melissa."

Justine shook her head, lying, "Doesn't ring a bell." She smiled and handed him the phonebook. "Well, thanks, Zac."

"Wait... Jade called Carter last night about something. They sounded pretty angry. Carter told me that Jade was going to come over here early this morning..." He looked down at his watch. "I think she said around 9."

Justine shrugged. "That's weird."

"I wonder why Jade would invite you over when she wasn't even going to be there."

"That's Jade for ya." Justine smiled and shrugged. "I guess I'd better go. I'll try to catch her before she leaves."

"Yeah well, if Jade ends up going to Carter's to duke it out with her, you can always hang out over here."

"Thanks. I'll think about it." And with that, she was gone.

Zac stared out the window and watched as Justine disappeared into Jade's house.
