I know it's been three plus weeks. Don't bother pointing that out. I went on holiday. Sue me. Judging by the lack of e-mail, I'm sure none of you really gave two tugs of.....well...let's move on...
Let's chat about video games this week, shall we? I've been at Software Etc. about a month now, so it's somewhat been driven into my daily though process, and I take it upon myself to be up on the current crop of games (except for Nintendo....they suck ;-j )
Do yourself a favor and at least RENT Vagrant Story. A beautiful game, with an innovative battle system and a story that is just screaming to be made into a movie (the ending was confirmation of that alone!)Ashley Riot is Square's new resident badass...
Likewise, I've now been enjoying Legend of Mana. It hasn't been up to par with what some people were hoping, I hear, but I think it's fun. It's a beautiful game, with what almost feels like a mercenary-style game, taking on random missions in any order you choose, making your own world. Give it a look, if for nothing else, to hold you over until Chrono Cross (!!)
And that's pretty much what I'm trying to wait for. Chrono Cross. The music has a somewhat a Celtic/Irish feel to it, and the demo is compelling. Plus, I hear it has 44 playable characters, all of whom are supposededly well fleshed out. Right.
But I digress.....
