Danville Iron Heritage Festival

In July of 1999, Company K attended the debut of Danville, PA's Iron Heritage Festival as special guests to a Civil War era church service. The service was given by the History Alive Boys! and filled the church to capacity. The popularity of the service prompted planners of the Festival to include a Civil War encampment along with another church service for the 2000 Festival.
Company K, along with the 93rd PA and Cooper's artillery battery, set up camps for the weekend near the elementary school. Infantry and Artillery demos were given and the History Alive Boys! performed concerts and another church service. Adding to the Festival's Civil War theme, Danville had just purchased one of the original flags of the 93rd Pennsylvania Infantry which was from Danville and the surrounding area.

Look for us at the 3rd Annual Iron Heritage Festival July 21 and 22, 2001.
