2005 School of the Soldier and Civilian

Every spring the companies that form our battalion, The Mifflin Guard, come together for two days of military drill. We follow the 1860's tactics as laid out by General Silas Casey. The civilians meet to enjoy lectures on a variety of topics of the time period. For the past couple of years the School has been held at the Kingston Armory in Kingston, PA.

This year we were able to help welcome home members of the 109th. Our battalion provided an honor guard as these men returned to their families and loved ones after a tour of duty in Iraq . It was an honor and a privilege to do so, and it is something none of us will forget.
