Other: Listed in Bates as being transferred to Company H and deserting. He did not desert. He was shot in the nose and mouth at the Battle of Fredericksburg on 12/13/1862. Was in the hospital at Point Lookout, MD. After the war, he was the Commander of G.A.R. Charles B. Coxe Post 147 in Drifton, PA. Treasurer of Foster Township. William's brother-in-law, Alfred, served in Co. K, 139th Illinois Vol. Inf. and his Father-in-law, Francis, served in the 81st PA. William's son, Frank G. Aubrey, served in Co. D, 146th Regt., 37 Division during WWI.
