ABOUT THE coming events bulletin board
It occurred to some of us that bikers in the Poconos who are looking for something to do with their spare time need to do lots of researching in various periodicals, and looking for event flyers at the various bike shops, eateries and taprooms that that cater to bikers and other such street motorcyclists. So we figured it might be a good idea to have a sort of BULLETIN BOARD where bikers could go to find out what was happening in the Poconos or within reasonable riding distance from here. So, here it is!
This is a rather subjective list because while we might consider a bike show with vendors and field events in Cherry Hill, NJ worth listing, we may not include a poker run in New Hope, PA to be worth the web space, because it's not a BIG enough event to interest enough people to go that far. Basically the Editor gets to decide what goes up on it. We are not interested in off-road stuff or races, unless it is part of a bigger event like a pig-roast or a biker rally, etc. There already are networks that inform participants in those events.
You are requested to send us event notices and club event schedules and club website URLs via email clanmother@angelfire.com so they can be posted. "Clanmother's Pocono Biker News" can't be responsible for cancellations, or for misinformation, since we're only going by what y'all tell us. I suggest that you contact the event organizers to verify, before you ride there and get disappointed. So let's cut the crap, and read the list:
For a list of event in the entire Eastern half of our state and Western New Jersey, we recommend that you pick up a copy of "E. Penn Biker" available at most motorcycle shops, or call Norm at 215-361-8592 and see that your favorite shop gets some copies. Tell Norm that your Clanmother sent you.
