GERALD MAUS SR. (1926-1999)



OF DUNMORE,PA. , CREATED THE DIORAMAS, HE SERVED IN THE U.S.ARMY DURING WORLD WAR II, HE BECAME AN ARDENT STUDENT OF MARINE CORPS HISTORY AND SPENT MANY YEARS CONSTRUCTING DIORAMAS WHICH DEPICTED SIGNIFICANT EVENTS IN WHICH MARINES WERE INVOLVED....... FROM THE BIRTH OF THE CORPS. THROUGH WORLD WAR I AND WORLD WAR II, KOREA, AND VIETNAM , AS EACH WAS COMPLETED, HE DONATED IT TO THE MARINE CORPS MUSEUM IN SCRANTON, PA.

THE MCL BUILDING WAS BUILT IN 1936 BY W.P.A., THE COMPLETION OF THE MUSEUM WAS 1982. YOU WILL FIND THE MUSEUM LOCATED INSIDE THE MARINE COPRS LEAGUE BUILDING. ALL DIORAMAS WERE BUILT BY "GERALD MAUS SR.". MR MAUS WHO SERVED WITH THE UNTIED STATES ARMY, HAD GREAT RESPECT FOR THE MARINE CORPS.
