Chapter 5

"That was the best! thanks Joey!" said Liz as they exited the restaraunt some hours later.

"Consider a welcome party too" He said head towards his car. Liz shivered and bunched up the sweater she was in.

"Are you cold?"

"No, the chattering teeth are just for effect"

He casually draped his arm around her as they walked through the parking lot. "Well you're gonna be in a nice hotel room in just a couple minutes, so hold on...in the mean time you can cuddle up with me. We can watch a movie or something--how's that sound, I mean since we're sharing the same room and all..."

"We're sharing a room?" Liz knew that Joey wouldn't take advantage of her or anything, but still...

Joey noticed her uncomfortableness "but there will be two separate beds.."he rushed out. Liz nodded. "Just behave ok?"

"Yes ma'am"

The car ride was fairly short. When the pulled up to the hotel, Both were ready to fall asleep. Hand in hand they made their way up to Joey's room.

"I'm gonna go take a quick shower ok?"Liz said picking up her bag.

"Ok I'll be in Jc's room doing the same, see ya"

She smiled to herself as she undressed and hopped in the bathtub, this was byfar the most special thing anyone had ever done for her. She never need to mention what she needed, because when she looked up, Joe was there witht the answer.

"Where have friends like him been all my life?" She mumbled to herself. She finished washing, towel dried her hair and threw on some flannel pj's. After a day like today, she needed some sleep.

She failed to hear the door slam as a freshly showered and Shaved Joey walked in. He lightly set his things down and walked over to her bed to turn the light off. She looked so beutiful lying there, her red hair sprawled out on the pillow. He leaned down and kissed her cheek lightly, letting his lips linger on her smooth skin.

He starighten up and sighed. Things happened for a reason right?! So there was some purpose as to why she just popped in his life, but what ever it was , he didn't need to know, and he didn't really even care, he just knew something good would come in the long run.
