Well, I guess what they say is true, 'All's well that ends well' Nick is doing wonderfully since he was released from the hospital, as is Kevin. They never did figure out what was wrong with Nick but I don't care, I just care that he's well. It's been a week since his release and we're touring again. We are all in good spirits and in good health. There are no more secrets and now when there's a problem, we talk it out before it gets out of hand.
After Nick told me about his 'angel', I went back down to the chapel hoping to find Mr. O'Farell and tell him that Nick had spoken to his wife, but he wasn't there. I guess what he told me about fate was right, you have to let it do it's thing. I hope someday to see him again and introduce him to Nick. I think he'd like to meet the boy who has his wife as a guardian angel, the boy I had told him so much about.
So, that's basically it. I learned a lot from both my operation and Nick's illness. I learned that even though I may be famous and live a wonderful lifestyle, I have nothing if I don't have my own health and the ones I love. I've learned to never take anything for granted because as quickly as you have something, it can be gone forever. I'm lucky that God let me realize this, maybe having Nick sick was a lesson that I need to pay more attention to the real world. Maybe it was a lesson for us all.
Nick and I had a long talk and I told him that no matter what I went through, I would always be there for him and that he should tell me when things were bothering him, both mentally AND physically. I told him that there was no need for secrets in our friendship, that he could tell me anything and I would never think anything less of him. He told me he understood and he would try to come to me more often when he needed to.
So, as I sit here on the bus, I have my 4 best friends around me, I have my loving family and my girlfriend, and I have my newly repaired heart. My life may have changed in the last few weeks, but it's pretty good right now. I think I can speak on behalf of the whole group, life is great.
Love, B-Rok
I smiled as I finished my journal entry and heard Nick and AJ talking near the front of the bus. "Aje? Have you seen my Pooh Bear?"
"I think I saw him and Friendship Bear getting cozy in Kevin's bunk, hehehe."
I laughed as Kevin began to yell, "AJ GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!"
Some things never change.
