Brian Boucher was drafted 22nd overall in the 1995 Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. On October 14, 1999, he made his NHL debut in a 5-4 loss to the Canadiens. On October 30, he earned his first win against the Devils. On December 14, he scored his first assist against the Sabres.Four nights later, he earned his first shutouts with 29 saves in a 4-0 win over the Lightning. That rookie season, Brian went 20-10-3 with four shutouts and helped the Flyers win the Atlantic Division title. He also paced the league with a 1.91 goals-against average. In the playoffs, he went 11-7 as the Flyers reached the Eastern Conference finals before losing to the Devils. In 2000-01, Brian played 27 games behind Roman Cechmánek as the Flyers reached the 100-point mark for the second consecutive season.
