SPECIAL PARADE PERFORMANCE...ALUMNI NEEDED!

Sensations Alumni! We need you! Can you join us at Shaler Area High School's Homecoming Parade this year? Homecoming's theme is a "Hero's Homecoming." Sadly, this past year (June), we lost a very special "hero." This "hero" battled cancer to the fullest. In honor of our own "hero" and to pay tribute to her, we though it would be nice to call back all of our past members to march in the parade with us honoring Shannon Irela...nd Gable. I am also asking Shannon's husband and daughter to join us on this special day and event. We will be performing to "Just Stand Up" from the Stand Up 2 Cancer fundraising show. Shannon LOVED the Sensations and her daughter is following in her footsteps. She touched many lives in our organization. We have the flags and poles. We have the poms. We have the batons. We have the drums and bels! All we need is YOU! Please help us honor Shannon. Not only as a former member of the Sensations, but as a Shaler Area Alumni, Shaler Area Marching Band Alumni and friend, mother, sister, aunt, and wife. Shannon fought tirelessly with so much dignity and class. We can't think of a better way to honor her and her family. Please respond to let us know if you are coming. You can post your response here or e-mail it to us at smudrumandbaton@comcast.net. The parade uniform will consist of blue jeans and a purple colored shirt (solid color shirt is preferred). Let's make this a record breaking parade performance for Shannon! She'll be smiling from above and performing through our hearts! Tentative group practice for all alumni will be Monday October 11th. Time and location TBA. Can't make practice? No problem. Just let us know and we'll make other arrangements with you. Hope to hear from you soon!

Homecoming Pics

On a Saturday in October, the Shaler Area School District holds its homecoming festivities. The Sensations marched proudly down Mount Royal Boulevard. Everyone works hard, but also had a lot of fun. Here are some pictures from the 2008 Parade:
