Victor Browne as Michael Bell
Born in Newfoundland, Canada, Victor Browne spent his childhood traveling throughout the world as one of eight children in an Air Force family. Moving from bases in Morocco to stations throughout the U.S., the one consistent thread in his life was that he was always interested in acting. He appeared in community theater productions while majoring in business at Georgia State University in Atlanta, and after graduation moved to New York City.
Browne launched his career as a print and runway model in New York for two years, then branched into acting, appearing in numerous television commercials. Moving into daytime drama, he appeared for almost two years in a regular role on One Life to Live as Drew Buchannan.
Browne's feature film credits include the critically acclaimed independent film I Shot Andy Warhol, in which he played one of Warhol's assistants. He also appeared paired with Cindy Crawford in a cameo role in the Miramax film 54.
Browne was living in New York when he auditioned for the role of Michael Bell, the paramedic who gave up his high-powered executive job and family money to join the Rescue 77 team. Browne himself feels the attraction of the profession when he puts on his character's uniform, drawn to the heroic aspects of emergency medicine as well as to the close-knit family of a fire squad.
Currently dividing his time between Los Angeles and new York, Browne enjoys playing tennis, racquetball and horseback riding.
Marjorie Monaghan as Kathleen Ryan
As female paramedic Kathleen Ryan, Marjorie Monaghan compellingly combines strength and femininity in a role that has traditionally been considered predominantly male.
Born in California and raised in the Midwest, Monaghan spent her formative years growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her first acting experience was as Snoopy in a high school production of You're A Good Man Charlie Brown. An accomplished singer, she was also actively involved in several school singing ensembles, earning medals both as a soloist and in groups in state competitions.
Marjorie landed her first professional acting job in a summer stock Equity production of Tecumseh! playing Tecumpese, the sister of the lead character. After graduating Cum Laude with a B.A. in theatre from Miami University of Ohio, she headed to New York.
Monaghan quickly landed her first television role, ironically as a female firefighter, in the short-lived series H.E.L.P., which also starred Wesley Snipes and John Mahoney. Since then, she has been working steadily, guest-starring on such popular television series as Law & Order, Murder, She Wrote, Cheers, Quantum Leap, L.A. Law, The Pretender and JAG.
Her training in the art of theatrical combat has come in handy on several occasions, including a guest spot on Star Trek: Voyager, a series regular role on Space Rangers, as well as a recurring role as the leader of the Mars resistance 'Number One' on Babylon 5. Monaghan also appeared in the television movies Jack Reed: A Search For Justice and Aftermath.
Monaghan's big-screen credits include Regarding Henry, Bonfire of the Vanities, Nemesis and Sorcerers.
Monaghan, who currently resides in the Los Angeles area, enjoys singing, studying archetypal mythology and Celtic history, practicing yoga and traveling.
Christian Kane as Wick Lobo
Like many stories of a small-town kid making it big in Hollywood, relative newcomer Christian Kane's tale begins in a small Southern town - Norman, Oklahoma.
Born in Dallas, Texas, he moved throughout the South while growing up because of his father's work in the oil business, eventually settling in Oklahoma. After finishing his last class as the University of Oklahoma, where he majored in art history, Kane hit the road with a duffel bag in the back of his pickup truck and a few hundred dollars in his pocket, hoping to find stardom out West as an actor.
Once in Los Angeles, he found odd jobs in the film and television industry. While working in the mailroom at a talent management company, he caught the eye of one of the managers who signed him and began sending him on auditions. After one month, with no previous acting experience, he won the lead role in the syndicated television series Fame L.A., going from employee to client literally overnight.
In the fall of 1997m Kane made his professional debut on Fame L.A. starring as Ryan Legget, a country singer who comes to L.A. in search of stardom. An accomplished country music performer himself, Kane did his own singing on the show and enjoys writing, performing and recording country music when not acting. On the big screen, he made his feature film debut in director Ron Howard's Ed TV.
Christian Kane currently lives in Los Angeles.
