ORIGINAL PORTRAITS
ORDERING INFORMATION

ORIGINAL 8 1/2" x 11" commissioned portraits cost $120 each.
If you have another portrait size in mind, please e-mail me. Prices vary with size.

Just follow these easy steps and you're on your way to obtaining an original
portrait done especially for you!

STEP 1: E-mail me for a reservation number. A reservation number will be assigned to you via e-mail. Please DO NOT proceed with the following steps until your reservation number is called. I am doing this to ensure organization.

STEP 2: Choose the picture you want me to draw. It can be a picture of someone from a magazine, or you can send in your own personal photograph. *Send in photographs at your own risk! I am not responsible for photos that may get lost or damaged in the mailing process. It all depends on how much you want to trust the post-office. For example, I wouldn't send in an original photograph that is from the 1800s, or something like that, or if the photo you want me to draw is your ONE and ONLY. So, you make the choice as to how to send the photo. When I mail your portrait and photo back, I do however buy insurance for the package. What you may want to do, rather than sending in an original, is to make a nice, high-quality black and white copy of it, as I can draw from that.

I need a clear photo (no fog filters or out of focus), at least 3"x5" in size.(Your photo will be returned with the finished portrait.) The better the image the better your portrait will be. You may know the person in the photo very well, but please remember, the photo is all that I have as an image of the subject(s), I can only draw what I can see. If you are going to take the photo yourself, here are some basic guidelines to help you get a quality image. Get close to the subject. The more detail you can see the more detail I will have to work with. Use natural light. Sunlight is best in the early morning (before 10:00 am) or in the afternoon (after 3:00 pm) If you need to, use a single soft white bulb. Place the subject so that the light falls from in front of and slightly to one side. (Rembrandt lighting) The brighter the light the harder the subject will appear.

STEP 3: Completely fill out and print the mailing slip.

STEP 4: Mail your picture and mailing slip to:

Alicia Norris
P.O. Box 3712
Granada Hills, CA 91394
USA

I will e-mail you once I have received your order, to ensure you that it got to me safely.

After I have completed your portrait, I will scan it for you to view before having you send in your payment. I want to be sure that you're happy with what you are getting. Once approved, I will ask you to mail your payment in to me. As soon as I receive it, your portrait will be mailed out, it's that simple!
