The Family of Charles William & Charlotte Wilkins

Our earliest known Wilkins ancestor is Charles William Wilkins. From the 1850 census of Madison County Tennessee, it looks like he was born in Northe Carolina about 1804. He was in Madison Co. Tn as early as 1830. He was in the census of that County from 1830-1850. Of course 1850 would be the first census we would find his family with him. He married Charlotte, who was born in either NC or TN. about 1810. They had children James Alexander, John M., William Anderson., Mary A., Charlotte Elizabeth, Susan C., Sarah Charlotte, Temperence C., Benjamen Franklin, Frances A., Thomas M., Mark Lafayette, & Rebecca Wilkins. My line through Charles William & Charlotte is James Alexander. James Alexander married Martha O. Estes who lived in the same area. They married the 4th of Sep 1845 in Madison Co. Tn. James Alexander and Martha had son James Clinton Wilkins who married in Logan Co. Arkansas to Martha Almeda Scott. This is also my line.
