Lu Bu

Stats

Lu Bu was one of the most infamous warriors of the Three Kingdoms era, reknowned for his awe-some strength and skill in battle, as well as his fickle, rebellious nature and lack of subtlety. When we first meet him in Three Kingdoms, he is the adopted son of Ding Yuan, who is outspoken against the corruption of Dong Zhuo. Meeting Lu Bu, Dong Zhuo marveled at his talent. Li Su volunteered to go persuade Lu Bu to their side. Using one of the best horses ever bred, Red Hare, Li Su enticed Lu Bu to switch allegiances, and Lu Bu assented. He slew Ding Yuan and adopted Dong Zhuo as his new father. With Lu Bu on his side, Dong Zhuo rose to great heights of power and villainy. Dong Zhuo took control of the capital and the emperor, doing various evil things that made quite a lot of people upset, including a man named Wang Yun. Devising a plot to restore order to the court, Wang Yun used one of his singing girls, Diao Chan, to entice Lu Bu into killing Dong Zhuo. He promised to marry the remarkably attractive Diao Chan to Lu Bu, but abruptly offered her to Dong Zhuo instead. After suffering for a while, Lu Bu eventually got around to killing Dong Zhuo, and claimed Diao Chan as his own. Having killed both of his adopted fathers, Lu Bu carved out his own little piece of China, and attempted to invade parts of Cao Cao's territory. After fighting back and forth for a while, and getting Liu Bei involved, Cao Cao eventually prevailed, and captured Lu Bu. Knowing of Lu Bu's record for treachery, Cao Cao had him executed.
