As with the earlier Trio performances, these summer 1975 ‘enhanced SOS’ performances are difficult to document: recognisable themes come and go throughout long improvisations, but rarely if ever do tunes develop as in the commercially released versions. Additionally, the identification of the drummer is not always certain: although possibly Tony Levin, in places it sounds like Stu Martin, in others like Alan Skidmore.
