A Hole In The Gate
Once in the land of um, Farm, yeah, ok. Once in the land of Farm, there were these really intelligent creatures called chickens. They all had these uh, um, houses. They were really big houses. All the chickens houses were different colors. They all lived by themselves because they thought everyone else was really annoying and couldn't stand each other. So one day, there was this hen named Chirp, and she thought that it was really stupid for everyone to think that everyone else was annoying, so she decided to become friends with everyone. (see she was really the smartest chicken but nobody knew that cause everyone thought that they were the smartest chicken, that is why they thought that everyone else was so annoying) So Chirp went over next door because she figured that that was the best place to start. She pecked on the door 5.43276 times(5.43276!!!) and this rooster named Croak answered.
Now Croak was the dummest rooster in the land of Farm. See, when he was a little chickadee, he lived with this group of chickens that was near a pond, and there were a whole bunch of little frogs everywhere. And of course this is what he heard all day, so when he went to crowin' he sounded more like a croak-a-doak-a-dook. So every other chicken started callin' him Croak.
Anyway, when he answered the door and saw Chirp, he didn't know what to do. See, Croak had never had any friends before, cause he couldn't crow, so he didn't know what to do. Chirp asked him if he wanted to come over for some sugar corn and mashed corn water(chickens eat a lot of corn and they are smart enough to figure out that if you put some sugar with the corn or mash up corn really well and put it in water, that it taste really good). Since Croak didn't know what to do, he said sure because he didn't want to ruin the first chance of having a friend in half a year(chickens are old about the time they turn 3 so half a year is like one sixth of their life, so that is a while i guess).
Anyway, back to my little story, i think i need to explain to you how the system works in a chicken coop. See, if one chicken wants to be better and tougher than another chicken, then they both fight until one backs down or dies. so, if you want to fight, and you know for a fact that you are gonna lose, your best bet is to just back down. cause if you don't, you gone be one dead chicken, and that would be just pitiful.
Ok, now Chirp and Croak were enjoyin' a nice little party with each other, both glad to have a conversation and a friend. Chirp started to tell Croak about the little hole in the Farm gate just about when Croak started to invite her to his house the next day. She of course accepted the invitation and thanked Croak for coming over that day.
Now you are wondering, what gate? what hole? 1. there is a gate around the land of Farm 2. one day, Chirp was walkin' around the edge of the wall, gate, whatever, and she found a hole.So, the next day, Chirp decided to go and check out the hole again before going over to Croak's house.
When she reached the hole, she quickly looked around to see if any chicken was watchin', then she scratched her way through the hole.
