Our Mission Statement:

Japan Martial Arts Association of New York (JMAANY) is dedicated to helping low-income children develop the values and confidence needed to avoid criminal behavior and to succeed in school and beyond. We are here to establish a professional karate-do association that sets a high standard of excellence and embraces educational themes. That will provide an outlet and alternative to at-risk children, trouble teens and adults through proper education and training in the martial arts. It is our aim to build positive leadership within our community and network to provide a needed community center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, New York.

JMAANY will enable youth involved in delinquency, abuse or neglect to participate in Karate programs that offer mentorship and teach leadership skills and goal-setting to help them develop the right attitudes such as perseverance, respect, integrity, discipline and excellence in themselves and in their lives.

Because JMAANY is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your donations are tax-deductible. And we keep our administrative costs to a bare minimum so that almost every penny we raise is used to serve more children.
