Westerly Sun, The (RI) - June 27, 2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deceased Name: Florence Desillier Florence Littlefield Hurtado Desillier, 86, daughter of the late Harry and Mabel (Stenhouse) Littlefield, died on Saturday evening, June 25, 2005, at the Westerly Health Center. She was born on May 15, 1919, in Westerly. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara H. Gent and Gerald D. (Jerry) Gent of Westerly. She leaves two other daughters, Julie Steele of Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Sandra and husband Bob Petrashune of Reno, Nev.; two granddaughters, Karen Tavares and husband Carlos (Chuck) of Pawcatuck, and Spec. Kristen Clark and husband Sgt. David Clark of Ft. Bragg, N.C., and a very special great-grandson, Tyler Tavares. She also leaves a step-daughter Betty Jo Nardone and her husband Paul Nardone and a stepdaughter, Diane Devine and her husband Maurice Devine; seven step-grandchildren, Mathew, Molly and Maggie Nardone and Rick Devine and his wife Susanne, Chris Devine, Karen Etchels-Wright and Diana Pagliarini; as well as 8 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, William (Bill) Hurtado and Joseph Desillier; a son, James D. Hurtado; and three sisters, Alice Littlefield Pellegrino, Blanche Littlefield Douglas and Mary Littlefield Keskinen Fortune. During her lifetime, Florence was very active with her Class of 1937 reunions and worked in retail stores over the years. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday June 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly. Funeral services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, her wish was to have donations made to the Lyme Disease Association, Inc., Lyme and Tick-borne Disease Research, P.O.
