Record, The (Hackensack, NJ) - February 5, 1992 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deceased Name: JOHN MISKIV JOHN MISKIV, 72, of Clifton, formerly of Garfield and Passaic, died Monday. Born in Czechoslovakia, he came to the United States in 1936. Before retiring in 1985, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Clifton, where he worked for 30 years. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Athenia Veterans Post, Clifton. He was a member of Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, Clifton. Surviving are a son, John J. of Clifton; two daughters, Elaine Chengiri of Howell and Deborah Miskiv of Hackensack; and a sister, Anna Komar of Clifton. Services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at Assumption of the Holy Virgin Orthodox Church, with burial in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting is today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with a parastas at 3 p.m., at Shook Funeral Home, Clifton. Donations to North Jersey Lyme Disease Association would be appreciated.
