She was the wife Of Thomas B. Swift Of East Sandwich since 1993.

Born In Woburn And raised In Nashua, N.H., she moved to Sandwich In 1980 And attended night school studying medical management. She worked as an office manager for several physicians, including Dr. Jean Mase. Mrs. Swift studied the use Of herbs for several years And was a self-employed herbalist, operating the Herbal Circle In Sandwich. She was afflicted with Lyme disease for more than 20 years And was just recently diagnosed. She faced her disease with great strength. Mrs. Swift enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially camping, canoeing And hiking In the woods. She And her husband were married on top Of Cannon Mountain In New Hampshire. She was an avid reader And loved her garden. Besides her husband, survivors include her parents, Richard E. And Patricia J. (Searles) Desharnais Of Sandwich; a daughter, Crystia Desharnais Of Sandwich; a sister, Dawna Desharnais; a brother, Steve Desharnais Of Sandwich; And several nieces And nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Episcopal Church, 159 Main St., Sandwich.
