Form and Structure

This was a fun poem to work with. For our second assignment, we had to write a pantoum poem. It turned out to be a fun assignment to do. Some of the lines repeat along with new ones to add into the poem. I had a fun time with mine. My poem is another one of my fictional characters from the eyes of a college boy who got blackmailed into staying with her. I tried to stay away from clichés this time and used a little bit of imagery. Plus, I didn’t have to rhyme the lines at all either. I kept most of the lines the same. However, I did change lines sixteen and twenty a little bit for lines nineteen and twenty-three, respectively. That came about so that the reader would know that I was talking about the uncle teaching Addie to be a con artist and using her for money and not someone else. I am pretty amused with how this poem turned out. Maybe, I might used Addie and this college student in more poems that will be assigned to us for the rest of the semester. I will just have to see how everything plays out.
