Lolita
“Come on, let me see,” Mosh said from outside the dressing room.
“No!” Noiz yelled back. The mouse sighed.
“What’s wrong?” he asked.
“I look ridiculous!” Noiz wailed.
“Oh come on!” Aden shouted. “It can’t be that bad. Let’s see you!”
“Promise you won’t laugh?” Noiz asked.
“Yes!” the mouse boy said.
“Yeah, yeah,” her friend said. “Just come out.” The cat groaned aloud.
“Fine,” she said. The curtain drew back. Both fox and mouse saw the cat in another Sweet Lolita style dress. This time, it went overkill with the pink and lace. The white stockings came up to her knees. The teddy bear and big white bow in her hair didn’t help matters either. Noiz frowned as they stared at her.
“Go on, say it!” she barked. “You know you are going to anyway!” Mosh looked away as he cleared his throat.
“Well,” he said. “It’s…” His lover really frowned as she clenched her fists by her side and around the bear.
“I knew it!” she shouted. “You never liked Lolita style!” She turned to her fashion designer friend.
“I told you him think this latest design from you was crap!” the poor kitty shouted. Mosh threw up his hands at her.
“I didn’t say all of that!” he protested. Noiz turned a sharp eye towards the mouse.
“Well, what do you think?” she asked. “And be honest with me here!” Mosh did his best to make himself smile.
“Well… it’s not exactly my style,” he said. Noiz frowned and stamped her feet.
“I knew it!” she cried. “You hate…” The mouse put up his hand to stop her again.
“But, it looks rather cute on you,” Mosh finished up. Noiz’s eyes lit up with a little relief.
“Really? You mean it?” she asked. The mouse nodded at him in a matter-of-fact way.
“Yep,” he said. Aden gave her a huge grin.
“See?” she asked. “Told you he would like it.” Noiz’s face brightened up really quick.
“I think I might wear this home,” she said. Aden and Mosh watched her walk out of the room with an extra perk in her step. The fox turned to the mouse once she was sure that the cat was completely gone for the moment.
“I thought that you weren’t a fan of loli,” she whispered to him. Mosh kept his smile on his face.
“I’m not,” he admitted. Aden turned to him with big, lost eyes.
“Then, why did…” she began to ask. Mosh gave her a sheepish chuckle.
“Sometimes, I like her better when she’s a good mood, you know?” he replied with a sweat drop on his head. “Besides, she actually does look kind of in that dress. The lace is a bit much, but she still looks cute.”
“Oh…” the fox woman mumbled as she turned back to the open doorway of her studio. He did have a point there, sort of.
