Ocean Pirates Singing

    Blackbeard and happy musical do not usually go together. But with the musical, Hot Grog, they all made it fit somehow. To be honest, the play was a little cheesy. But then again, Hot Grog was geared towards the whole family. Everything had to be light-hearted. The play is a little cute in a sense. Historically, Hoy Grog is really close to being accurate. The songs were decent. I smiled as I shook my head a couple of times. The plot stayed away from being dull and cliched. Anne's disguise as a boy wasn't so dull. It was rather surprisingly cute. Overall, Hot Grog was written and directed nicely.
