Parents Need a Break Too

Being a parent is tough work. The kids can be demanding little demons either on purpose or not. Sometimes, parents cannot be the cash machine, vending machine, and life size toy that their kids want them to be. They need a break. This is where the Playhouse comes in to save the day. The parents can sign in, let their kids play in the mini-playground outside or downstairs, and make art in the main room. On my first day, the Playhouse was holding a Parents’ Night Out for the families. This was where the parents could drop off their kids and go out for three hours while the chaperones watched the kids. This is a good idea because the parents could go out and have fun while their children can play with their friends for the night. If I was parent, I would love Parents’ Night Out.

I would not change anything about the Playhouse. The only thing that I wish was that I could have a better way of getting there and back to school at five. I am worn out by the time I get to my dorm. Other than that, the Playhouse is fine.
