Pink Genie

Because I could not stop to ask
I did not pause to think
I did a very stupid deed
And swallowed my first drink

It was so sweet a treat to taste                                                                                                                                                                                                     5
A sip of this new blood
Intoxicated my pure soul
Much stronger than caked mud

I saw bright golden neon lights
I flew, my head got lost                                                                                                                                                                                                               10
Then I saw bunnies, small and white
I didn’t know the cost

I met a jolly old joyful king
In my long pink haze trip
I trailed him back to the old                                                                                                                                                                                                         15
Lonely heart dark strip

I fell down a deep cloudy hole
I saw a white gloss rabbit
It is not so good to
Form a pink wispy habit                                                                                                                                                                                                              20

I wondered to out yonder
To my young hazy years back
To a green young floor of grass
It sank into a heavy black
